Happy Birthday Culacha!

My wonderful baby girl just had her first birthday today.

We actually celebrated a couple of days ago, right before hubby left for Scotland. She loved her cake (no surprise there -- who doesn't like cake???).

She has taken her first steps but is not all that into walking; she prefers cruising along the floor at lightning speeds, making a beeline for her brother's room (and toys) while he's not looking. Amelia is a master of climbing stairs (but not descending them). She doesn't really talk all that much, but I think that's mostly because she has a four year-old brother who can do all the talking for her. She does like to sign "milk" "eat," and I think pointing to the TV and screaming indicates she wants a Baby Einstein movie. She loves animals and music and dancing, common things for a girl her age, and (like all good members of both sides of our family) is a fan of steak and potatoes.
