Kul 3am wa intu bi alf khayr. To respond to your question on my blog (just noticed it) the 'Breath of Heaven' translation went well, but it is very hard to get the syllables in the right places. Arabs are very picky about not holding out harakaat in the middle of the word so you have to work to find alifs and such. We did miss Alan's Bach 'shindig' but participated in some other of Alan's amazing 'pulled off at the last minute' performances last year. He's in NY now, so this Christmas at ESAC was my Dad singing 'Emmanuel' and a family sing along of 'Silent Night' A Capella in 4 languages (Spanish, German, English, Arabic) along with a few solos from my sisters. It was fun.
