Finally, after one VERY long day of flying, we are in our new home. Well, it's not really a home yet. More of a temporary living space. We're out looking for an apartment right now. Hopefully we can find one close to the Center where my husband will be teaching.
It's COLD here in Nazareth; rain and sleet. The people who picked us up at the airport said that this is the coldest it has been all winter. And it wouldn't even be that bad if we were in a place with central heat. But alas, this was not meant to be. Now, we are very grateful to be staying here, but the only two rooms we can manage to keep at reasonable temperatures are the 2 guest rooms. So, most of our time is spent there. The kitchen is almost unbearable, although I was able to stay there long enough to eat dinner and clean the dishes. That was probably because the oven had been on for an hour, heating the lasagna.
Yesterday we got a tour around the town. It reminds me a lot of Amman, except it's smaller and there are more Christians (it's about 50/50 here). Very Arab, which, to be honest, I was beginning to miss a little while we were in the States. Especially Arab sweets (yum!). They just don't quite come out right in the U.S.

It's been "cold" here too. Not as cold as there though. We miss you and hope you find a place soon.
Thanks Kami. Julian keeps talking about "Kyler Jacob" and "baby Chloe." He really did have a lot of fun with your son while we were in SA.
We're so glad you guys got there safetly!
Good rreading your post
